  • Case awarded Campus Kudos for spring semester

    June 9, 2014--Valarie Case, university relations specialist at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, has been selected by the Staff Council as the recipient of the 2014 spring semester Campus Kudos Award.  

  • Drawing, photo win Best of Show; on campus show closes March 30, then at Runnymede April 5

    March 27, 2013 -- A drawing and a black and white photograph earned the Best of Show awards during the 10th Annual Northwestern Oklahoma State University Art Society (NAS) Art Show. The show continues in the J.W. Martin Library through March 30, then winners move to the Runnymede Hotel on April 5.

    During the Oklahoma College Public Relations Association (OCPRA) awards ceremony held July 10-12 in Ardmore, two Northwestern Oklahoma State University staff members and one alumnus received awards for their writing, design and photography skills.

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University mass communication students and employees in the design and photography fields were recognized during the annual Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) ceremony last month in Tulsa.

  • Northwestern Outstanding Graduates to be honored April 30

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association will honor seven Outstanding Graduates during its annual Spring Reunion Banquet on Saturday, April 30 at 6 p.m. The honored alumni include: Charles L. Stuckey, class of 1961, Outstanding Business/Professional Award; Keith Edward Ballard, Ed.D., M.Ed. 1975, Outstanding Education Award; Barbara Kay Duncan, class of 1969, Outstanding Humanitarian Award; Manny Gamallo, class of 1973, Outstanding Arts Award; Allison Woods, class of 2007, Outstanding Recognition Award; Angelia Case, class of 1984, Ranger Recognition Award; and Valarie Case, class of 1985, Ranger Recognition Award.

  • AAUW winners recognized at annual ceremony

    Monica Schmidt, 1984 Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumna and Woods County assessor, was named the 2011 Woman of the Year by the American Association of University Women during its annual recognition ceremony March 24. Valarie Case, university relations specialist and 1985 alumna, received the Cultural Development Award. Dr. Deena Fisher, Northwestern-Woodward dean, was presented the Educational Development Award and Karen Armbruster, extension educator, was honored with the Community Development Award.

  • Two Northwestern women recognized for contributions to northwest Oklahoma

    Three women, including two employees of Northwestern Oklahoma State University, will be honored for their community contributions during the American Association of University Women’s (AAUW) Annual Recognition Ceremony and Dinner on Thursday, March 24, at 6:30 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom.
