THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED - Dr. Donnie Nero to speak at Northwestern for Black History Month

This event has been postponed.  Check back for the rescheduled date.  Dr. Donnie L. Nero Sr. is scheduled to speak at Northwestern Oklahoma State University for the Heritage Celebration Series in honor of Black History Month.

The presentation will take place on the Enid campus in room 220 and broadcast via ITV to room Carter Hall 107 on the Alva campus, Woodward campus room114, and Ponca City room 135.

Nero and his wife, Shirley Ann, have dedicated their lives to educating others.  Now retired, they reside in the historic all-black town of Clearview.

Nero’s presentation will “Take Us” through a journey of his life (childhood to retirement) reflecting on the events, individuals and experiences that molded his life. He welcomes everyone to come and “walk a mile ‘N’ his shoes.”

Nero served as president at Connors State College in Warner from 2000-2011. He currently is the President of the Oklahoma African-American Educators Hall of Fame, Inc., Chairman of the Board of Office of Juvenile Affairs, and board member of CREOKS, Inc.
