The Alley Cats

The Alley Cats, “America’s premier doo-wop group,” will perform at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in Herod Hall Auditorium at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The Alley Cats are the second group to perform as part of the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series.
Formed at Fullerton College In 1987, The Alley Cats have made it to the top of a cappella music with their renditions of doo-wop classics and their improvisational comedy. The Cats have performed with notable celebrities such as Jay Leno, Rascal Flatts and The Beach Boys.
Season tickets for the Concert Series are available at Holder Drug, Schuhmacher’s, the Northwestern Bookstore or by calling (580) 327-8692. Adult season tickets are $40, and student season tickets are $20. Tickets to individual performances will be sold on an “as available” basis at $15 for adults and $10 for students.
“Each year, the Northwest Oklahoma Concert Series strives to bring outstanding music and cultural events to Alva and the entire northwestern Oklahoma region,” said Dr. Stephen Kingsbury, chair of the Department of Fine Arts and coordinator of the Concert Series. “The Concert Series has a long tradition of providing quality performances that contribute profoundly to the artistic and cultural life of the community.”
