Weather conditions on Wednesday shortened the blood drive at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Fortunately, the Oklahoma Blood Institute will return on Monday, Feb. 25, for a make-up drive in the Student Center Ranger Room from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
“The goal for the drive was 210 and we were at 138,” said Rachel Stewart, special events coordinator. “So, we need 72 more donors.”
Stewart also is looking for volunteers for the drive.
It’s important to remember, especially during the flu season, that the need for blood often increases.
Those who are able to donate will receive an OBI T-shirt, free health screenings and Donor Rewards points.
Contact Stewart to volunteer for the drive at firstname.lastname@example.org or (580) 327-8178.
