The Division of Nursing at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to the Family Health Fair Friday, March 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Northwestern-Enid Commons Area and is free and open to the public.
Junior and senior nursing students are planning the health fair and have worked to gather booths with information pertaining to breast feeding, treatment of fever in child, prevention of kidney damage, early detection of breast cancer, feeding and burping babies, diabetes, gestational diabetes, Pertussis Disease and Typhoid Fever and the importance of immunization, shaken baby syndrome (SBS), multiple sclerosis (MS), contraception methods, oral hygiene, pain management and labor, and skin cancer prevention.
Senior nursing students also will be providing free health assessments to those who attend.
