Vendors for the Northwestern Oklahoma Medieval and Renaissance Faire at Northwestern Oklahoma State University still have time to participate with the Faire on Friday, April 12, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Food vendor applications and fees have been extended until March 15, and all other applications and fees have been extended to March 25.
The purpose of a medieval faire is to recreate a 14th century English market faire by providing free outdoor arts and crafts, as well as a living history.
“Harpist Chris Bell will be performing, and Kansas Holiday Woodcrafts will be vending,” said Amy Hall, assistant professor of English. “A couple of blacksmiths are scheduled from Saltfork Craftsman guild and will be making wares.”
Hall also said that student organizations and students in her English classes at Northwestern will be participating in the event.
Applications can be sent to Hall by email at firstname.lastname@example.org, and are available at www.nwosu.edu/medieval-faire. Payment must be made by check or money order made payable to Northwestern Oklahoma State University. Due to University policy, checks will be deposited upon receipt. The fee will be refunded in full if application is not accepted. Applications will not be processed until payment is received.
For more information about the faire or to become a sponsor, contact Hall at (580) 327-8428 or email@example.com.
