Day 2 - PLC Boston Blog

Emily ChockleyMelanie KirkleyDay 2: What a day! Good thing we all had a good nights sleep behind us because today was eventful to say the least.

We all met in the lobby of our hotel at 9 a.m. and headed out to the duck tours. (A duck is a special vehicle that has wheels to drive on land and also a propeller to fully operate as a boat in the Charles River!) After the duck tour we went to the top of the Prudential Tower to view the city from the Skywalk, which was breathtaking!

We were all hungry after our sight seeing so we grabbed lunch at the local food court and then set off for an hour of exploration in the Massachusetts Museum of Fine Arts. We gazed in wonder at cave drawings, carvings, Impressionist pieces, modern, and abstract art.

From the museum we traveled to the park to see the ducks and gorgeous landscape. We didn't stay long at the park as we were all looking forward to dinner! Our group of 20 set off on foot in search of Fire & Ice. With only a bit of confusion and some much appreciated help from a few locals we made it to the restaurant. After a small prod from the staff we jumped in line for food and then watched them grill our choices in front of us.

From dinner we strolled to the Playhouse to watch Shear Madness. The cast included Alva, Northwestern, and Dr. Cunningham in the play's hilarious script. We then hopped on the T and rode back to our hotel. From here, we say goodnight!

Sincerely,
Melanie and Emily
