HAYS, Kan. – Kacee McCulley led the way for the Northwestern Oklahoma State Cross Country team as she finished in 34th place in the Fort Hays State University Cross Country Open on Saturday, Oct. 11.
McCulley led a pack of eight Lady Ranger runners with a time of 21:05. Shelby Austin and Krystle Martinez took 55th and 56th place with times of 22:58 and 23:10, respectively. Kaylen Kirby was 61st with a 24:35 and Rachel Kliewer was right behind with a 24:56. Chelsea Leathers recorded a 27:46 for 67th and Mercedes Key finished with a 29:09 for 68th. Kendra Schnebel did not finish because of an ankle injury.
Both the men’s and women’s team will compete in the Southwestern College NAIA Mid-States Classic in Winfield, Kan. on Saturday, Oct. 25 followed by the women closing the season at the SAC conference meet on November 8.
