BETHANY, Okla. – Southern Nazarene barely got by the Rangers in women’s soccer action in Bethany on Tuesday, Oct. 21, as the Crimson Storm snuck by the Rangers women 1-0.
Despite 45 shots taken by Southern Nazarene, the Crimson Storm was only able to net a goal in the first half during the 40th minute of play. SNU had 14 shots on goal, while Kelsey Archer came up with 13 saves for the Rangers.
Northwestern shot six times in the contest, five of those six in the first period. Ashley Guinn got three shots off, while Christina Nunez shot twice. Kayla Meloni was the only Ranger to have a shot on goal, taking one shot in the match.
The Rangers (2-11-1, 2-6-0) return home on Saturday, Oct. 25 for a 6 p.m. conference match with John Brown (10-4-1, 6-1-1).
