Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance
Wendy McManus joined the Northwestern athletic staff in January 2011 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance.
At Northwestern she will be responsible for the enforcement of university, conference and NCAA regulations, including all aspects of recruiting and eligibility of current and future Ranger student-athletes. McManus will implement a comprehensive NCAA and conference rules education program for Northwestern coaches, student-athletes, boosters and those affected or interested in the rules Northwestern is governed by.
Prior to arriving at Northwestern, McManus was the head volleyball coach at Texas A&M International University (TAMIU). During her time at TAMIU, she served as the Senior Woman Administrator, Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) supervisor and was an adjunct instructor.
The native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada competed in four seasons of volleyball at the NCAA Division I level at Chicago State University (Ill.), where she earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology in 1999. She received a master’s degree in coaching and athletic administration from Concordia University Irvine in December of 2010.
