On April 29, the Peninsular Spanish American Culture class at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to a fundraiser in celebration of Cinco de Mayo, with its main goal to raise money for the Spanish Scholarship Fund. Lunch will be served from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.
The group will serve chicken or beef enchiladas, rice and beans from El Durango with a donation of $5 to Northwestern employees who have purchased a ticket. Employees can have lunch delivered to their offices or pick up and dining is available in the Student Center.

Cinco de Mayo is a holiday that celebrates the defeat of the French by Mexico at the Battle of Puebla. Mexican troops won the fight on May 5, 1862.
