Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s Fine Arts Department will present a concert featuring the University Singers and University Chorale Thursday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Herod Hall Auditorium in Alva. The program is free of charge and open to the public.
The program is titled “Things as they are… …are changed.” The groups will be performing works by James MacMillan, Tomas Luis da Victoria, Igor Stravinsky, Philip Glass Benjamin Britten, Steve Reich and Vincent Persichetti. Each of the works on the program examines the idea of transformation or change from a variety of perspectives.
The music groups are under the direction of Dr. Stephen Kingsbury, director of choral and vocal studies and chair of the Fine Arts Department. The choirs are accompanied by Dr. Ling-Yu Kan, assistant professor of piano
