Walch Center for Business Development
Welcome to the Walch Center for Business Development!
The Walch Center for Business Development (CBD) was created as an endowed chair in 1994 from the contributions of the Pearl Louise Marlatt Walch family and NWOSU alumni. Aligned with the overall mission of the university, our mission is to serve NWOSU, northwest Oklahoma, and the state of Oklahoma by:
- Assisting in business development, retention and expansion;
- Aiding in local, regional and statewide economic development efforts;
- Providing business and employment opportunities;
- Offering professional development and continuing education.
The Walch CBD provides an entrepreneurial environment conducive to business development and economic development in northwest Oklahoma as well as the state of Oklahoma. Located in Shockley Hall on the Alva campus, services include assistance through the Northwestern Business Incubator, the Northwest Oklahoma Professional Development Center, Small Business Institute®, and Career Services. Outreach activities target northwest Oklahoma, including the Oklahoma panhandle and the region west of Interstate 35 and north of I-40. Through the World Wide Web, outreach becomes worldwide.
