Campus food drive to benefit Alva Food Bank

November 17, 2011

The Student Oklahoma Education Association (SOEA) and the Psychology Club at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be collecting non-perishable food items for the Alva Food Bank on Nov. 21, during the double-header basketball game against Oklahoma Christian University.

The community is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to place into a collection box in the entrance of Percefull Fieldhouse.

Lady Rangers take the court at 6 p.m., and the men’s game follows at 8 p.m.

This month in Alva, more than 200 families were served through the Alva food bank, which is now through the Wesleyan Church.

Non-perishable items also can be dropped off at the Northwestern-Alva campus until Nov. 21. Collection boxes are placed at the front door of the J.W. Martin Library, in the lobby of Herod Hall (in front of the Registrar’s Office) and on the second floor of the Education Center.
