D’Shanna Butler became the 11th Lady Ranger to join the elite 1,000 Point Club in Northwestern Oklahoma State Lady Ranger basketball history, as she scored 15 points in Northwestern’s loss to No. 5 Oklahoma Baptist at Percefull Fieldhouse on Thursday, Jan. 29.
The 5-7, senior guard from Broken Bow, reached the mark in her 97th game as a Lady Ranger. Her 1,000 points came nearly four minutes into the game as she scored Northwestern’s first field goal.
Butler currently ranks 13th in the Sooner Athletic Conference with an average of 12.1 points per game. The four-year Lady Ranger currently has 1,013 career points and leads Northwestern with 220 points this season.
