Kim Bruce, coordinator of the Ketterman Skills Lab for the Northwestern Oklahoma State University nursing program in Enid, accepted her commission into the United States Army Reserves as a 1st Lieutenant during a ceremony at the Enid campus April 20.
Bruce’s brother Andy Grantham, a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army, performed the ceremony in front of 60 guests in the commons area. Grantham is stationed at Ft. Carson, Colo., and is the commander of the Fort Carson Warrior Transition Battalion.
The 52-year old grandmother and nurse will be a member of the Army Reserve Nurse Corps, and at this time, is awaiting orders for Officers Training.
