ALVA, Okla. – Brandon Brown became Northwestern Oklahoma State’s 20th member of its prestigious 1,000 point club on Thursday, Jan. 29 as he scored 19 points to hit 1,000 points in a loss to No. 5 Oklahoma Baptist at Percefull Fieldhouse. Brown did so in less than three years into his Ranger career.
Brown, a 5-9 junior from Houston Texas, hit his 1,000 point with 1:28 to go as he drained both free throws of a two-shot foul. He hit the landmark in just his 83rd game of his career.
He currently ranks seventh in the Sooner Athletic Conference and leads the Rangers in points per game, averaging 13.8 points/game. Brown also leads the Rangers in points with 281.
