    CLAY THOMAS NAMED CONFERENCE PITCHER OF THE WEEKNorthwestern Oklahoma State pitcher Clay Thomas was named the inaugural Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week, as he was named so for February 1-7.

    Thomas, a junior right-hander from Arlington, Texas, tossed a one-hit shutout in the Rangers’ season opener against Dallas Christian. He registered seven strikeouts and two walks in six innings, while the Rangers defeated the Crusaders 7-0.

Instead of playing Friday and Saturday, the Rangers will now play Saturday, Feb. 6 and Sunday Feb. 7. Both dates are scheduled for doubleheaders beginning at noon.
