Northwestern Oklahoma State infielder Camilo Baldelomar was named the Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Week for April 2-8 by the league office today.
Baldelomar, a Miami, Fla. native, hit .533 (8-for-15) with three doubles, two home runs and 14 RBI. His monster week led the Rangers to a 5-0 record. The infielder had a 1.133 slugging percentage for the week.
The Rangers have won five consecutive games with one coming against conference foe USAO and the other four against Dallas Christian.
Northwestern will square off against USAO tomorrow at 4 p.m. looking for its sixth consecutive victory. The games will be held in conjunction with the team's yearly "Pack The Park," day where free hot dogs will be served to fans while supplies last.
