Bahama Breakaway set for April 21

April 12, 2011

Students at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be able to relieve some stress before preparing for finals during the annual Bahama Breakaway set to begin at 1:30 p.m., on Thursday, April 21, on the downtown square in Alva.

Sponsored by the Student Government Association (SGA), the event will include a volleyball tournament and free food, fun and games.

Students must sign up for the volleyball tournament at Student Services in the Fine Arts Building, room 126.  Registration begins Monday, April 18, through Thursday, April 21, by 1:30 p.m. The first eight teams to sign up will be eligible for the tournament.

KNSU will be at Bahama Breakaway again this year. At 1 p.m., the sound system will be set to play music, and there will be a live remote broadcast on Channel 7.

Random drawings and games will take place throughout the afternoon. More than $500 in prizes will be awarded at the event.
