LUBBOCK, Tex. – The Northwestern cross country team finished out its season at the Sooner Athletic Conference meet in Lubbock, Tex., while the women finished 6th and the men took 7th.

The annual Ranger Rodeo presented by Northwestern Oklahoma State University will have its opening performance at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Woods County Fairgrounds Arena. More than 500 student competitors from 20-plus colleges and universities are expected to participate. The rodeo is a sanctioned event of the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

ALVA, Okla. – The Northwestern Lady Ranger basketball team got off to a good start in the 2009-10 season, with a 84-82 win at Percefull Fieldhouse in their season opener. Northwestern got good usage from its bench, as six players tallied 54 points.

The 2010 class of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Sports Hall of Fame will include Corinn Auld Allen of Yukon, Troy Brown of Clinton, Mike Mitchel of Alva, and Brock Schnebel of Oklahoma City.

This year’s class will be honored at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, and will be formally inducted at halftime of the Ranger men’s basketball game with Mid-America Christian University that afternoon. The women’s game will tip off at 2 p.m. and the men’s game at 4 p.m.

ENID, Okla. – The Ranger basketball team escaped a one-point, 85-84 win in their season opener against No. 5 in NAIA Division II College of the Ozarks at the Mabee Center in Enid on Tuesday night.

The Northwestern Oklahoma State soccer team closed out the 2009 soccer season in Claremore, dropping a 3-0 contest to Rogers State University.

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association will host a pre-game reception for all Tulsa area alumni and friends when Northwestern visits the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles on Monday, November 16, 2009. The reception will be held in the Falls Lounge inside the Hilton Tulsa Southern Hills.

On a calm Halloween night in Bethany, Northwestern Oklahoma State advanced to 4-0 in the Central States Football League after defeating Southern Nazarene 48-28. The Rangers racked up 589 yards while Nate Guillory rushed for over 200 yards and two scores and Korey Williams also scored twice picking up 164 yards receiving.
