    NORTHWESTERN CROSS COUNTRY ENDS SEASON AT SAC MEET; WOMEN FINISH 6TH, MEN TAKE 7THLUBBOCK, Tex. – The Northwestern cross country team finished out its season at the Sooner Athletic Conference meet in Lubbock, Tex., while the women finished 6th and the men took 7th.

    ANNUAL RANGER RODEO STARTS THURSDAYThe annual Ranger Rodeo presented by Northwestern Oklahoma State University will have its opening performance at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, at the Woods County Fairgrounds Arena. More than 500 student competitors from 20-plus colleges and universities are expected to participate. The rodeo is a sanctioned event of the Central Plains Region of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Northwestern got good usage from its bench, as six players tallied 54 points.

    18th ANNUAL NORTHWESTERN SPORTS HALL OF FAME SET FOR FEB. 13The 2010 class of the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Sports Hall of Fame will include Corinn Auld Allen of Yukon, Troy Brown of Clinton, Mike Mitchel of Alva, and Brock Schnebel of Oklahoma City.

    This year’s class will be honored at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13, and will be formally inducted at halftime of the Ranger men’s basketball game with Mid-America Christian University that afternoon. The women’s game will tip off at 2 p.m. and the men’s game at 4 p.m.

    RANGER FOOTBALL DOWNS SNU 48-28 ON HALLOWEENOn a calm Halloween night in Bethany, Northwestern Oklahoma State advanced to 4-0 in the Central States Football League after defeating Southern Nazarene 48-28. The Rangers racked up 589 yards while Nate Guillory rushed for over 200 yards and two scores and Korey Williams also scored twice picking up 164 yards receiving.
