  • Wisdom Family Foundation establishes 10 endowed chairs for Northwestern's Division of Nursing

    September 27, 2016 – The Division of Nursing at Northwestern Oklahoma State University recently was gifted 10 endowed chairs by the Wisdom Family Foundation in order to support its newly established Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program announced earlier this year.

  • Northwestern, business partnership recognized by State Regents

    March 31, 2014--Northwestern Oklahoma State University was recently recognized by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education with the Regents Business Partnership Excellence Award for its successful partnership with the Wisdom Family Foundation. Northwestern and 26 other institutions were acknowledged for their innovative collaborations that furthered the education of Oklahoma’s workforce. 

  • Homecoming Art Exhibition begins Friday; Poetry Reading Oct. 7 downtown

    September 27, 2011 - A Northwestern Oklahoma State University Homecoming Art Exhibition showing more than 40 pieces of art by more than 20 artists will be the first event in the new Graceful Arts Center in downtown Alva. The free show opens Friday with a reception for artists and the public from 7 to 8 p.m. Refreshments will be served.

  • Art program returning to Northwestern; classes set for fall

    After more than 20 years, Northwestern Oklahoma State University again will be offering courses leading to a minor in art. Thanks to two generous donations from the Wisdom Family Foundation to create endowed chairs in art, requirements for an art minor have been established, a fulltime instructor has been hired, and four classes have been added to the fall 2011 schedule.

  • Agriculture education students to benefit from Wisdom scholarship endowment

    Students majoring in the new agriculture education program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will be eligible to receive some financial assistance thanks to a recently established scholarship endowment by the Wisdom Family Foundation. The Foundation presented Northwestern with a $205,000 gift, with $200,000 establishing the endowment and $5,000 to be awarded for the academic year beginning in the fall.

  • Wisdom Family Foundation funds second endowed art chair; art minor to begin in fall

    The commitment on the part of the Wisdom Family Foundation to begin an art program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University has been made clear with the gift of $250,000 to create a second endowed faculty chair in art.
    This current gift matches an initial $250,000 pledge in August of 2008 to establish the Grace V. Wisdom Endowed Chair in Visual Arts.
