  • Northwestern art professor to show work at Graceful Arts Center

    April 3, 2012 -- The oil paintings of Northwestern Oklahoma State University assistant professor of art Brandice Guerra will be featured in the Graceful Arts Center as part of the First Friday Art Walk festivities Friday, April 6, in downtown Alva. The solo show opens Friday with a reception from 6 to 8 p.m. in the gallery at 523 Barnes.

  • Art program returning to Northwestern; classes set for fall

    After more than 20 years, Northwestern Oklahoma State University again will be offering courses leading to a minor in art. Thanks to two generous donations from the Wisdom Family Foundation to create endowed chairs in art, requirements for an art minor have been established, a fulltime instructor has been hired, and four classes have been added to the fall 2011 schedule.

  • Wisdom Family Foundation funds second endowed art chair; art minor to begin in fall

    The commitment on the part of the Wisdom Family Foundation to begin an art program at Northwestern Oklahoma State University has been made clear with the gift of $250,000 to create a second endowed faculty chair in art.
    This current gift matches an initial $250,000 pledge in August of 2008 to establish the Grace V. Wisdom Endowed Chair in Visual Arts.
