Junior goalkeeper Kelsey Archer was named to the list of 14 women’s soccer players named to the 2008 Sooner Athletic Conference Second-Team All-Conference. The All-Conference teams include five First-Team and one Second-Team selection from regular season champion Oklahoma City University. Seven players from Southern Nazarene were honored, along with four each from John Brown and Rogers State, three from Oklahoma Christian, two from Oklahoma Baptist and one each from USAO and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
Archer, a sophomore goalkeeper from Bartlesville, ranked fifth in the NAIA and led the SAC in saves per game with 9.88. She allowed 37 goals and came up with 164 saves on the season. While playing in all 17 games, Archer had a .816 save percentage record while playing nearly 1500 minutes in the net.
Northwestern finished the season at 2-14-1 overall and was 2-8 in Sooner Athletic Conference play.
