Welcome to the Alva Regional Hub of the Oklahoma Arts Council’s Regional Arts Network
Welcome Educators, Educational & Arts Programs Administrators, Artists, and Arts-Learning Supporters!
The Oklahoma Arts Council is pleased to announce the formation of the Oklahoma Regional Arts Network.
The Alva Regional Hub is a partnership project with the Freedom West Community Development Corporation and Northwestern Oklahoma State University.
The goal of the OAC Regional Arts Network is to foster cultural development and increase funding to rural and underserved areas throughout Oklahoma, with an emphasis on funding arts learning programs in schools and communities.
The Alva Regional Hub will connect the Oklahoma Arts Council with area educators, administrators, artists, and arts-learning supporters. Three public meetings are scheduled for the coming academic year:

- Dec. 07, 2010 – Town Hall Meeting for the Arts – 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m., Runnymede, downtown Alva;
- May 05, 2011 – Networking Forum for Regional Artists – 1-4 p.m., Alva Art Center, downtown Alva.

Through state appropriations and grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Oklahoma Arts Council funds arts events and arts education programs throughout the state. Projects funded by the Oklahoma Arts Council generate matching funds and create public/private partnerships that in turn impact Oklahoma’s economy throughout the state’s rural and urban communities.
