Bridge Programs with NOC and NWOSU for Social Sciences

The NOC-NWOSU Bridge Program is designed to assist transfer students coming to Northwestern from NOC with a better understanding of the course requirements for each degree program offered in the Social Sciences Department.

Students are reminded that curriculum changes do occur and on occasion students will need to adjust their coursework accordingly.  However, students can help themselves with career and academic planning by meeting early on with a selected advisor in the department.

Rae Wilson, M.S.W. and Social Work faculty is housed on the Enid campus.  Ms. Wilson can provide assistance to any departmental student seeking advisement.  Dr. Eric Schmaltz, faculty member in the history program, teaches class on the Enid NWOSU campus each Wednesday evening during the fall and spring semesters.  Students may visit with Dr. Schmaltz as well for advisement.  Finally, Dr. Kay Decker, Chair of the Social  Sciences Department at NWOSU visits the Enid campus regularly and can assist students with academic planning as well.

Students should always make contact by email or phone prior to seeking advisement.  It is also helpful for students to request a Degree Audit or Degree Checksheet from the NWOSU Registry office in Enid prior to seeking academic advisement.
