The Lady Rangers shot 353 as a team on day two, 17 shots better than the 370 the squad shot on day one. <br />
<br />
Amanda Dixon shot a solid round of 75 on day two, six strokes better than her day one score. She finished the tournament tied for 14th. <br />
<br />
Stephanie Martin shot a pair of 83s and finished tied for 30th while Jacey Ford shot a pair of 99s to finish with a total score of 198. <br />
<br />
Kayla Peters shot her best round of the year on day two firing a 96.<br />
<br />
The SAC conference tournament concludes the Lady Ranger season.<br />

<p><strong>HERBER SPRINGS, Ark.</strong> - Amanda Dixon led the Northwestern Oklahoma State women's golf team to a fifth place finish at the Natural State Golf Classic hosted by Harding University at the Red Apple Country Club. The team shot 360 on day one and 370 on day two.</p>
<p>Dixon shot an outstanding opening round of 76 on day one and came back to shoot an 82 in the second round. </p>
<p>Stephanie Martin shot a pair of 83s en route to finishing tied for 16th.</p>
<p>Arkansas Tech won the women's tournament and the field consisted of eight teams.</p>

The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women's golf team finished eighth after one day of the Bison Invitational. The Lady Rangers shot 413 as a team.<br />
<br />
Amanda Dixon was the top finisher for the Lady Rangers shooting an 83, eight shots behind the winner but just two shots out of second. Dixon sparkled on the front nine shooting 39.<br />
<br />
The Lady Rangers will return to action on April 9-10 at the Natural State Spring Classic which is hosted by Harding University (Ark.) at the Red Apple Country Club in Heber Springs, Ark.<br />

<p>The women shot 359 on day one and scored 350 on day two for a 709. Amanda Dixon finished third overall shooting 159.  Dixon shot a final round 78 after shooting an 81 on Monday.</p>
<p>Stephanie Martin shot a pair of 84s to shoot 168 over the two-day tournament. Jacey Ford and Kayla Peters shot 187 and 195, respectively to round out the Lady Ranger scores.</p>
<p>The Lady Rangers return to action on April 2 at the OBU Spring Invitational.</p>

Amanda Dixon (77-80) had her fourth top five finish of the fall season, this time finishing second overall behind Chelsie Gausman of Kansas Wesleyan. <br />

Brooke Carvell (88-90) also had a top five finish as she placed 5th overall. <br />

The Lady Rangers opened with a team score of 359. On day two Northwestern improved by seven strokes to shoot a 352. Their two-day total accumulated 711. <br />
<br />
Lindel Godfrey carded a 96-89-185, which put her in the top ten placing 7th overall. Jacey Ford had a top ten finish placing 10th overall with a 103-93-196. Kayla Peters finished with a 98-100-198, which put her in 11th place. <br />
The Lady Rangers finished with a very strong fall season and have much to look forward to into the spring season. <p>The Lady Rangers opened their first day of play with a team score of 385, which was good for fourth place after the first 18. The Lady Rangers improved on the second 18 firing a 369, 16 strokes better than day one. </p>
<p>Amanda Dixon led the way for Northwestern with a pair of rounds in the 80’s, shooting 84-82 —166. Stephanie Martin had a top 15 finish overall with a 97-89—186. Lindel Godfrey finished 23rd overall with a pair of 99’s carding a 99-99—198. Brooke Carvell placed 28th overall with a 105-99 —204. Jacey Ford rounded out the scoring for Northwestern team with a 109-116 —225 placing her 34th overall for the tournament. Kayla Peters played as the individual for Northwestern. She finished with a 112-108—220, good for 33rd place. </p>
<p>The Lady Rangers return to action next week. Like the men’s team, they are heading north for the Warrior Invitational hosted by Sterling College (Kan.). Tournament play is set for Oct. 10-11. </p>
<p>The Lady Rangers are defending champions of the Warrior Invitational. (9-15-11)</strong> - The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women’s golf team came away with second at the Mid-America Christian Invitational, finishing 36 strokes behind champion Rogers State. </p>
<p>The Lady Rangers opened their first day of play with a 331, only nine shots back of Rogers State after the first day. The second day was tougher on the Lady Rangers as they shot a 338. On a brighter note though, Amanda Dixon did finish first in the tournament overall. </p>
<p>Amanda Dixon led the way for Northwestern with a pair of rounds in the 70’s, shooting 74-77 —151. This was her first win of the 2011-12 season. </p>
<p>Stephanie Martin had a top 5 finish overall as well with an 84-80—164. Lindel Godfrey cracked the top ten finishing 9th overall with an 86-92—178. Brooke Carvell was right behind Godfrey in a tie for 10th place with a 91-89 —180. </p>
<p>Jacey Ford rounded out the scoring for Northwestern team with an 87-93 —180 tying her with Carvell and Haley Sweigart of Central Baptist for 10th place. Kayla Peters played as an individual for Northwestern, finishing with a 113-105—218, good for 14th place. </p>
<p>The Lady Rangers are off for two weeks before returning to action. <p>Hall, a senior from Broken Arrow, was honored with the award for the second consecutive season. A student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for the award. Hall was one of 82 student-athletes to be selected for the honor.</p>
<p>“Cari’s hard work and dedication to academics has paid off as she has received her degree this Spring from Northwestern,” said head women’s golf coach Shawna Bivin. “I am very proud of Cari and her accomplishments.”</p>

<p>Amanda Dixon and Cari Hall tied for 16th, both carding a 172 in the two-day tournament. Dixon shot 88-84, while Hall shot the reverse, 84-88. Hope Conneywerdy finished in a tie for 27th with a 94-96—190, while Stephanie Martin was two strokes back in 29th place with a 95-97—192. Jacey Ford rounded out Northwestern’s scoring with a 112-97—209.</p>
<p>Lubbock Christian moved from third place after the first round to winning the team title with a 653 total. </p>

    <P>The Lady Rangers held a one stroke lead after the first round, shooting a 383, and carded a 388 on the second day for a two-day total of 771. Oklahoma Baptist won the tournament with a 749.</P>
    <P>Dixon won the tournament by 13 strokes with an 85-79—164. Cari Hall was the only other Lady Ranger finishing in the top ten, placing eighth with a 98-96—194. Jacey Ford carded a 103-104—207, finishing 15th. Hope Conneywerdy took 21st with a 116-109—225 and Stephanie Martin shot 97 in her opening round, but withdrew in the second round.</P>
    <P>The next tournament for the Lady Ranger golf team is on April 18-19 at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament at Heritage Hills Golf Course in Claremore, Okla.</P>

<p>Northwestern shot 372 in both rounds of the two-day tournament and won the event by 19 strokes. Conference foe Rogers State University took second place with a 763 total.</p>
<p>Amanda Dixon held the 10-stroke tournament lead as she shot an 86-88—174. Fellow Lady Ranger Stephanie Martin took second place with a 94-90—184. Cari Hall was two shots back of Martin for a fourth place finish, shooting a pair of 93’s for a 186 total. Jacey Ford and Hope Conneywerdy took 11th and 12th place, respectively, as Ford carded a 99-101-200 and Conneywerdy shot a 102-102—204. Madison Howard, who was competing as an individual, finished in 19th with a 108-109—217.</p>
<p>Northwestern’s next tournament stop will be in Shawnee for the Oklahoma Baptist Spring Invite on April 4-5 at the Shawnee Country Club.</p>

The tournament was held at the par 72 Buffalo Dunes Golf Course in Garden City, Kan.</p>
<p>Northwestern fired a 320 on day one and a 322 to wrap up the two-day tournament for a total of 642. Central Christian finished second with a 754 and OPSU shot 923 for third place.</p>
<p>Dixon finished two and three over par, respectively, during her two rounds as she shot a five over par 149. Cari Hall and Stephanie Martin tied for second carding a 161. Hope Conneywerdy finished in fourth place with a 171 as Jacey Ford was a shot behind with a 172 for fifth. Madison Howard shot a 202 for 11th place.</p>
<p>The Lady Ranger golf team will return to action on March 28-29 at the Oklahoma Wesleyan Invitational played at Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville. </p>

<p>Peters held a pair of first place finishes as a junior, winning individual honors at Mooreland and Woodward during the 2010 season. She aided the Bearcats to a first place in the regional qualifier and to the third place team in state. As a sophomore, she helped Mooreland to a regional championship and to a state runner up finish. </p>

Hope Conneywerdy and Jacey Ford were a stroke off each other, shooting a 182 and 183, respectively. </span></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: verdana,sans-serif;"></span><span style="font-family: verdana,sans-serif;"><span style="font-size: 13px;">Northwestern improved by 23 strokes on Tuesday, shooting a 330, after totaling a 353 in the opening day of the tournament. The Rangers tied for 16<sup>th</sup> with Lincoln University (Mo.) as the host school, the University of Central Oklahoma, won the event with a 582. Northwestern was the only NAIA school in a field of 15 other NCAA Division schools.</span></span></p>

The Lady Rangers shot a cumulative score of 746, putting them behind the tournament winner and host, Southwestern College, who shot 731 and Baker University who carded a 744. </p>
<p>Leading the Lady Rangers was Amanda Dixon, who placed first in the entire tournament field with an 83-78--161. Cari Hall also finished in the top five with an 89-91--180. Hope Conneywerdy shot a 91-104--195, which placed her in 13th at the event. Jacey Ford shot a 102-108--210 to place her 17th, while Madison Howard carded a 110-108—218, as she finished 20th overall at the tournament.</p>
<p>The Lady Ranger golf team has a week off before returning to action at the Central Oklahoma Broncho Classic hosted by University of Central Oklahoma at Lincoln Park Golf Course-East in Oklahoma City on Oct. 4-5.</p>

Madison Howard shot a 99 and Aubrey McDowell rounded the scoring for NWOSU with a 106.</span></span></p>

<p>Hall, a junior from Broken Arrow, was one of 86 student-athletes to be selected for the honor. A student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for the award.</p>
<p>“Cari works very hard on her academics and understands the value of the degree she is working towards at Northwestern,” stated head coach Shawna Bivin. “It is great to see a student-athlete like Cari succeed not only on the golf course, but also in the classroom. <p>Northwestern shot a 372 on Monday and nearly the same score on Tuesday, carding a 373 for a total of 745. Stephanie Martin led Northwestern with an 88-90—178 for a 28th place finish. Cari Hall was a shot behind, with a first round of 91 and second round of 88 for a 179. Ida Arvidsson recorded a 189, while Brittany Meredith finished with a 199. Emilee Beard rounded out the scoring for NWOSU with a 209.</p>
<p>Oklahoma City University won the event with a 625, as Laura Jones took medalist honors with a 77-70—147.</p>

<p>Northwestern downed its nearest competitor by 95 strokes, winning the tournament with a 767. Ottawa University came in second in the tournament with an 862 and Colby Community College turned in a team score of 939.</p>
<p>Stephanie Martin finished in second place with an 89-95—184. She was followed by Cari Hall and Emilee Beard who finished in third and fourth place with a 96-94—190 and a 99-97—196, respectively. Ida Arvidsson finished a stroke behind Beard, shooting a 99-98—197. Brittany Meridith turned in a 105-100—205.</p>
<p>The Ranger women will finish the season out at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament at the River Oaks Golf Club in Edmond on April 26-27.</p>

Northwestern defeated host Ottawa University by 103 strokes at the par 72, 6,014 yard Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kan.</p>
<p>Cari Hall won medalist honors with a first round score of 80 and a second round score of a 93, putting her at 173 for the tournament. Ida Arvidsson came in second place with a 90-96—186. Emilee Beard carded a 96-95—191 to finish tied for fifth, while Brettany Meredith and Meagan Scott finished 10th and 12th, respectively with rounds of 199 and 216.</p>
<p>The Ranger women will head to Hutchinson, Kan. on April 5-6 to play at the Highlands Golf Club in the Sterling Invitational.</p>
