Pre-Veterinary Medicine

The College of Veterinary Medicine of Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater, OK requires the applicant for admission to have completed at least 60 semester hours of college prerequisite courses, a 2.80 GPA (4.0 scale) and to take both the General Test and Biology Subject Test of the Graduate Record Exam (GRE).   Documented volunteer or work experience in the veterinary field is desirable.

ENGL              1213    English Composition II

ENGL              Elective (SPCH 1113 or ENGL 3513)

MATH             1513    College Algebra  (and 1613 recommended)

Humanities/Social Sciences electives

Business elective   (MGMT 3063 Principles of Management recommended)

Major/Minor in Biology and Chemistry are the most common undergraduate degree choices

Note:  Completing a baccalaureate degree prior to entering the professional veterinary program increases eligibility for financial assistance programs.
