Dr. Kathryn A Lindberg
Director of Bands

Prior to her appointment to the Northwestern Music Faculty in 2005, Dr. Lindberg held Director of Bands positions at Rocky Mountain College in Montana and Albion College in Michigan. She holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from Montana State University, a Master of Music degree in Instrumental Conducting from the University of Florida, and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Music Education from the University of Florida. Dr. Lindberg, a trombonist, has performed with the Billings and Bozeman Symphonies and the University of Florida Jazz Band I in performances at the Montreaux Jazz Festival in Switzerland. She has served as a guest conductor and clinician in the United States and Canada..

In addition to her work with Northwestern bands, Dr. Lindberg teaches music education, conducting and applied brass and currently serves as Chair of the Music Department.
