NWOSU Libraries Catalog 

Provides information about the physical collections held at both Alva and Enid.  Books, journal titles, CDs, videos, audiotapes, and limited government documents are included.  The catalog also includes links to netLibrary full-text eBooks.

Grove Music Online
An encyclopedic dictionary of music and musicians regarded as the most authoritative reference source on the subject in the English language
. Includes the full text of The New Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians, second edition, The New Grove Dictionary of Opera, and The New Grove Dictionary of Jazz, second edition.

netLibrary
Provides access to 29,000 full-text electronic books (eBooks).  Users can view or check out eBooks online and search titles by keyword, phrase, subject, author, title, or idea.  You must create an account from a computer on one of the campuses before you can check out eBooks off campus.  However, for those students not attending class on campus you may create an account by e-mailing the information required.  You will be notified by e-mail when the account is set up.  This service will be provided Monday-Friday, 8:00-5:00.

JSTOR
JSTOR offers a high-quality, interdisciplinary archive to support scholarship and teaching. It includes archives of over one thousand leading academic journals across the humanities, social sciences, and sciences, as well as select monographs and other materials valuable for academic work. The entire corpus is full-text searchable, offers search term highlighting, includes high-quality images, and is interlinked by millions of citations and references


Oklahoma Union Database
Lists the holdings of libraries in Oklahoma including journal titles.  Students using the OK-Share Card should consult this database before traveling to another academic library.  Kansas and Texas holdings are also available.

NewsBank
Access World News has full text content of local and regional newspapers.  Paid advertisements are excluded.  Includes The Daily Oklahoman (1982-current) and Tulsa World (1989-current).  America's News Magazines covers U.S. and international news, business, lifestyle, entertainment, sports, and science and technology from familiar magazines.

LoisLaw National Collection
This site requires registration with a special access code for first-time user.  Contact 580-327-8574 for the code.  All 50 states, the District of Columbia, U.S. Supreme Court Reports, Recent U.S. Supreme Court developments, Federal Circuit Courts, U.S. Courts of Appeal, U.S. District Courts, U.S. Tax Court, Federal Rules (Appellate, Civil, Criminal, and Bankruptcy Procedure; Evidence; Procedure of the Judicial Panel; and Supreme Court Rules), U.S. Sentencing Guidelines Commission Manual.

Catalog of U.S. Government Publications (CGP)
The CGP is the finding tool for federal publications.  It includes descriptive records for historical and current publications and provides direct links to those that are available online.  Users can search by authoring agency, title, subject, and general key work, or click on "Advanced Search" for more options. You may also identify materials distributed to Federal Depository Libraries.

National Guideline Clearinghouse
 A
comprehensive database of evidence-based clinical practice guidelines and related documents.  NGC provides objective, detailed information on clinical practice guidelines for students and professionals in health related fields of study and practice.  More information on the contents of this database is available here.

Physicians Assistant Programs Directory 
This
directory lists contact information, admissions deadlines, entrance requirements, credentials awarded, tuition fees, financial aid, clinical affiliations and other information for each of the accredited Physicians Assistant programs across the country.  More information is available here.

WorldCat 

A union catalog which itemizes the collections of more than 10,000 libraries which participate in the OCLC global cooperative.   It is built and maintained collectively by the participating libraries from more than ninety countries. The entire WorldCat database may be searched through the websites of libraries that subscribe to OCLC’s FirstSearch reference service.

  • ArticleFirst - Contains bibliographic citations that describe items listed on the table of contents pages of journals.

  • ClasePeriodica - Index of Latin American journals in the sciences and humanities.

  • ECO (Electronic Collections Online) - Citations to a collection of scholarly journals.

  • ERIC (U.S. Department of Education) - Journal articles and reports in education.

  • GPO - Citations to U.S. government documents, including Congressional reports, hearings, debates, and records; judiciary materials; and documents issued by executive departments.

  • MEDLINE (U.S. National Library of Medicine) - Corresponds to the print indexes Index Medicus, Index to Dental Literature, and International Nursing Index.  Most records include substantial abstracts.

  • PapersFirst - Covers published information (papers presented at conferences worldwide) received by The British Library Document Supply Centre.  No full text.

  • Proceedings - Index of worldwide conference proceedings received by The British Library Document Supply Centre.  Each record contains a list of the papers presented at each conference. No full text.

  • World Almanac - Offers a fundamental reference source. Includes biographies, encyclopedia entries, facts, and statistics.

  • WorldCat (OCLC Online Union Catalog) - Contains millions of bibliographic records for books and other materials in libraries worldwide.

  • WorldCatDissertations - A database of all dissertations and theses available in WorldCat.

American Chemical Society
(only available on NWOSU campuses)

The American Chemical Society provides the worldwide scientific community with a comprehensive collection of the most cited peer-reviewed journals in the chemical and related sciences. ACS Publications offers 35 prestigious journals in addition to its weekly newsmagazine covering the chemical enterprise, Chemical & Engineering News. With the ACS Journal Archives, ACS Publications provides searchable access to over 130 years of original research in chemistry, including more than 750,000 articles contained in 3 million plus pages of chemistry findings, dating back to the introduction of the Journal of the American Chemical Society in 1879.
