Sigma Tau Delta, an international English honor society at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, donated money to help establish a Spanish honor society on campus. Sigma Delta Pi National Collegiate Hispanic Honor Society (La Sociedad Nacional Honoraria Hispánica), will be available to Northwestern students who have an interest in Spanish. Five Northwestern Oklahoma State University students recently were inducted into the Sigma Delta Tau English honor society. Tara Woodmansee, Alva junior; Carissa Meade, Ringwood junior; Hilario Trejo-Leal, Mexico City, Mexico, senior; Angela Luthye, Enid senior; and Lisa England, Buffalo sophomore, are now members of this organization.

Three students involved in the education department at Northwestern Oklahoma State University attended the annual International Sigma Tau Delta conference in Minneapolis, Minn., in March. Attendees were Vanna Fuqua, Seiling senior; Alyssa Logsdon, Alva senior; and Anika Rohla, Chester senior.
