  • Regional Forum for Arts Learning set for Oct. 25 in Alva

    October 10, 2011 - A Regional Forum for Arts Learning will take place in Alva on Oct. 25 from 1 to 4 p.m. in the new Graceful Arts Center in downtown Alva.

  • Alva Town Hall meeting to focus on arts, humanities Dec. 7

    As the Regional Arts Network hub for northwest Oklahoma, Alva will host a Town Hall Meeting for the Arts and Humanities on Dec. 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Runnymede Hotel, 402 Fourth St. There is no cost to participate. Ken Kelsey, adjunct instructor of history and fine arts at Northwestern Oklahoma State University and the local hub’s director, encourages members of arts organizations, artists, educators, civic leaders and those involved in community and cultural development to attend.   • Arts Education Forum planned Oct. 21 at Northwestern

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University, along with staff from the Oklahoma Arts Council (OAC), Freedom West Community Development Corporation and the Alva Arts District will play host to a Regional Arts Education Forum on Oct. 21. The Forum is scheduled from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in Studio Red, room 312 of Jesse Dunn Hall on the Northwestern-Alva campus.

  • Town Hall Meeting for the Arts to be at Northwestern Nov. 6

    The Oklahoma Arts Council is partnering with Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva to host a Town Hall Meeting for the Arts on Friday, Nov. 6. The meeting will take place in the Alabaster Room, third floor of Vinson Hall. The meeting will begin at 9:30 a.m. and end by 3:30 p.m. There is no cost to participate, and it’s open to the public.
