Nursing students from Northwestern Oklahoma State University and professionals from northwest Oklahoma attended the Northwest Oklahoma Honor Society of Nursing induction ceremony last week.

Nursing students and faculty from Northwestern Oklahoma State University attended the annual lectureship for the College of Nursing at the University of Oklahoma.

Woods County Fair patrons will have the opportunity to get their blood pressure checked, meet members of the men’s Ranger basketball team and register for prizes at Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s booth in the Merchants Building Sept. 10-11.

Nursing students from the class of 2009 at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have much to celebrate as they enter the nursing profession. The senior nursing class and faculty at Northwestern Oklahoma State University attended the Distinguished Lecture Series and Bachelor of Science in nursing Deans and Directors Research Day at the University of Oklahoma College of Nursing in Oklahoma City on April 2-3.

Nursing students at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will assist the Marshallese Health Fair set for April 9, from 2:30 - 5 p.m., at the First Marshallese Assembly of God Church in Enid. This event is open to women and children in the Marshallese community.

Recent changes in the nursing program curriculum at Northwestern Oklahoma State University were approved by the Oklahoma Board of Regents and the Oklahoma Board of Nursing (OBN), with the help of Dr. Carole McKenzie, associate professor and chair of division of nursing, and other members of the nursing division faculty.

Dr. Carole McKenzie, associate professor of nursing and nursing division chair, and Skeeter Bird, chief executive officer of the Northwestern Foundation and Alumni Association, accept a donation to establish the Woodward Regional Hospital Auxiliary Scholarship for juniors and seniors in Northwestern Oklahoma State University’s nursing program.
