  • University Singers offering free concert at Presbyterian Church Sunday

    October 26, 2011 - As part of a recruitment tour, 20 University Singers from Northwestern Oklahoma State University will perform at 2 p.m. on Oct. 30, at the First Presbyterian Church located at 628 Church St., in Alva as a culmination of a six location tour across Oklahoma.

  • Holiday music performances set for Dec. 2 and 4

    Annual holiday music concerts presented by the Department of Fine Arts at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will begin on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 7:30 p.m., as the University Singers and University Chorale perform at the Zion Lutheran Church in Alva. These events are free and open to the public.

  • Northwestern theatre students to present world premiere production

    The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Fine Arts Department will play host to a never-before performed production April 8-10 in Herod Hall Auditorium. “Blue-Haired Belles,” a script written by playwright and Woodward native Woody Leonard, will be directed by Sayre theatre major Charlie Burns for his senior performance. The play explores life in a small town in Oklahoma and will shed light on the lives of the ladies of Charlene’s Crispy Chick Café. The production will run at 7:30 p.m. on April 8 and 9, and 2 p.m. on April 10.

  • Northwestern bands, jazz ensemble to perform

    Members of the Concert and University Bands, and Jazz ensemble at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will present a concert in the Northwestern-Woodward Atrium on Sunday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m.

  • Festival of holiday music performances set for Dec. 3 and 5

    Annual holiday music concerts will begin in the Department of Fine Arts at Northwestern Oklahoma State University on Thursday, Dec. 3, at 7:30 p.m., as the University Singers and University Chorale perform at the Zion Lutheran Church in Alva. These events are free and open to the public.

    The first theatre production presented by the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Fine Arts Department is “Vietnam 101: The War on Campus,” on Oct. 1 and 2 at 7:30 p.m. and Oct. 3 at 2 p.m. in Herod Hall Auditorium.

    The Department of Fine Arts at Northwestern Oklahoma State University will play host to guest saxophonist, Dr. Eric Honour, on Wednesday, April 1, at 7:30 p.m., in room 200 in the Fine Arts Building. The concert is free and open to the public.
