  • Jane Jayroe to have book signing Saturday, proceeds going to charity

    Jane Jayroe is returning to Northwestern Oklahoma State University to judge the Miss Cinderella Talent Show and Pageant. Since she is back for Homecoming, Jayroe will take part in a book signing for her two books, “More Grace than Glamour” and “Devote 40 Days” on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 9:45 a.m. to noon at the Northwestern Alumni tent across the street from Rialto.

  • Nursing tea honoring former dean to be Oct. 1

    The Division of Nursing at Northwestern Oklahoma State University is planning an alumni tea honoring Doris Ferguson, former nursing dean, during Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 1, from 1-3 p.m. in Carter Hall.

  • Northwestern Alumni Association to host tailgate

    The Rangers’ biggest rival returns to Alva for a season-opening gridiron matchup Sept. 1, and the Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association is planning a free tailgate party to celebrate. The alumni and friends tailgate begins at 5:30 p.m., and Northwestern takes on the Southwestern Oklahoma State University Bulldogs at 7 p.m.

  • Northwestern alumni host Major County meet and greet

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends are invited to reconnect at a meet and greet event Thursday, April 28 at 5:30 p.m. in the Community Room of Fairview City Hall. Area high school juniors and seniors are also encouraged to come and learn about opportunities at Northwestern.

  • Northwestern alumni to host Baseball, Hot Dogs & Apple Pie

    On Wednesday, April 13, Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends are invited to watch Northwestern take on East Central University in a baseball matchup at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid. The 6 p.m. game is part of Northwestern’s sixth annual Enid-area alumni spring event, Baseball, Hot Dogs & Apple Pie.

    Members of the community and surrounding area are invited to join Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni and friends to sample tasty treats and purchase and order items for holiday gatherings and gifts at “A Taste of Northwestern Oklahoma” on Tuesday Nov. 30 from 5 to 8 p.m.

    Two instructors with ties to Northwestern Oklahoma State University brought home outstanding teaching awards from this year’s Oklahoma Speech Theatre Communication Association (OSTCA) which took place Sept. 11 at Rogers State University in Claremore.

    The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association will host a pre-game reception for all Tulsa area alumni and friends when Northwestern visits the Oral Roberts University Golden Eagles on Monday, Nov. 16. The reception will be held in the Falls Lounge inside the Hilton Tulsa Southern Hills.
  • 'Hoop It Up with the Rangers' scheduled in Enid Nov. 3

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University Ranger sports fans are in for a treat. The Northwestern Ranger Men’s basketball team is opening up their basketball season against the College of the Ozarks inside the Mabee Center on the Enid Campus of Northern Oklahoma College November 3rd. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. The event is hosted by the Greater Enid Northwestern Alumni Task Force.
  • Alumni Tailgate scheduled for Oct. 31 at Southern Nazarene game

    A free tailgate party has been scheduled by the Alumni Association at the football game against Southern Nazarene University. The tailgate will begin at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, in the parking lot located at the north end of SNU Football Stadium. Anyone attending the game is welcome to free hot dogs grilled by the Rowdy Rangers.
  • Northwestern Alumni Association plans two Homecoming reunions

    The Northwestern Oklahoma State University Alumni Association will host two reunions for alumni on Friday, Oct. 23. The Ranger Legends Reunion will be for graduates from the 50’s through the 70’s at the VIP Supper Club and the Ranger Rewind Reunion will be for graduates from the 80’s to the present and will take place at the Nite Lite.
  • Marvin Wiebener returning to Alva for book signing Saturday

    Former Northwestern Oklahoma State University student and Alva native Marvin Wiebener, will return to Alva on homecoming Saturday, Oct. 24, for a book signing for The Moriah Ruse. Wiebener was previously in Alva in 2007 signing his book, The Margin, which received a four-star rating from www.Amazon.com.

    Members of the English Department at Northwestern Oklahoma State University are planning their first English Department alumni reunion. Two events for alumni and friends have been planned during Northwestern’s homecoming Oct. 24.
  • Woodward Area Alumni Task force to play host to 'Ranger Roundup'

    Come enjoy an evening of fellowship hosted by Northwestern’s Woodward Area Alumni Task Force on Tuesday, Sept. 22. The cookout and entertainment kicks off at 6 p.m. on the patio of Northwestern’s Woodward Campus and runs until 8 p.m.
  • 'Yard Dog' latest of Northwestern alum's novels

    Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumnus Sheldon Russell’s latest novel, “The Yard Dog,” was released Sept. 1, and people in northwest Oklahoma may recognize a few locations and stories within the pages. Described as a “one-of-a-kind mystery, “The Yard Dog” opens in the final days of World War II, when the remote corners of the United States hosted camps of German Prisoners of War captured in Europe.
  • Alumni Keeney, Schnebel perform athletic physicals

    Former Northwestern Oklahoma State University students, turned doctors were on campus giving incoming student-athlete physicals. Dr. James Keeney, 1979 graduate, and Dr. Brock Schnebel, 1977 graduate, examined student-athletes last week in preparation for the new school year.

  • Northwestern Outstanding Graduates to be honored at banquet

    Three Northwestern Oklahoma State University alumni will be recognized as Outstanding Graduates at the Alumni Association’s annual Spring Reunion Banquet on Saturday, April 25. Those to be honored are Darin L. Headrick, Class of 1983, outstanding humanitarian award; Scott W. Plunkett, Class of 1986, outstanding education award; and Kent A. Wilson, Class of 1987, outstanding business award.

  • Northwestern Alumni Spring Reunion set for April 25

    The Northwestern Alumni Association Annual Spring Reunion weekend has been scheduled for April 24-26. A schedule of events has been released outlining a fun weekend for alumni and friends to reconnect and remember their time at Northwestern. This year’s honored classes are the class of 1939, 1949, 1959 and 1984.
