Comprehensive Examination

All Master of Education students who applied for graduate study prior to January 1, 2003 - and ALL Master of Counseling Psychology students, regardless of date of application for graduate study - are required to successfully pass the final comprehensive examination and the oral follow-up exam at the conclusion of their plan of study.

Students should contact the chair of their graduate advisory committee if they are unclear about this requirement.  Guidelines for preparation for the written comprehensive exams are available HERE [click for link to PDF document], in the graduate office (580) 327-8410 or by emailing a request to the Coordinator of Graduate Studies.

The written comprehensive examination will be administered on the following dates in the 2007-2008 and 2008-2009 academic years:

October 4, 2007
March 6, 2008
June 12, 2008

October 2, 2008
March 5, 2009
June 11, 2009

All paperwork must be current and necessary forms returned to the graduate office at least four weeks prior to the date of the examination.
