Blackboard Orientation for Online Courses
Blackboard is the platform for Northwestern Oklahoma State University's online course curriculum. You can access your online course from any computer equipped with an Internet connection. Follow steps 1 to 3 below to learn about a Blackboard online course:
1. You must contact your online course professor immediately after enrolling for an online course. Failure to contact the professor may result in your removal from the course. Click the links below (Summer or Fall) to find the course for which you are enrolled, and contact the professor who teaches that course:

3. Read the tutorials below to learn how to access Blackboard and use its features. On each page, there is a link to a video tutorial so that you can see these features in action: To enable closed captioning of the videos, use Window Media Player and from the menu click Play, then Captions & Subtitles, and make sure "Captions" is selected. Also, on the menu click View and make sure that "Full Mode" is selected.
