  • Alumni - Rich Cantillon

    Rich CantillonAfter graduating from Northwestern Oklahoma State University in 1981, Rich Cantillon enjoyed a successful photography business for 15 years in Blackwell before serving as president of the Blackwell Area Chamber of Commerce. He spent a few years at the Blackwell chamber before joining the Ponca City chamber. In 1994, Cantillon was selected as Blackwell’s Outstanding Citizen, and in 2008, he was selected as the Chamber Executive of the Year for the State of Oklahoma.

  • Hardaway presents paper in Finland

    May 24, 2012 -- Dr. Roger Hardaway, professor of history at Northwestern Oklahoma State University, recently presented a research paper at an academic conference in Helsinki, Finland. Hardaway’s paper was titled “From Ranch Hands to Rodeo Stars: Cowboys of African Descent in the American West.” Hardaway has been researching black cowboys for several years, and has made other presentations and published scholarly articles on the subject.

  • Northwestern announces Spring Honor Rolls

    May 22, 2012 -- Honor rolls for the spring semester at Northwestern Oklahoma State University have been announced by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. Those on the President’s Honor Roll earned all As, or a 4.0 grade point average (GPA), in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours. Those on the Vice President’s list had grade averages of 3.5 or better in a minimum of 12 undergraduate or nine graduate hours.

  • Thirteen chosen for President's Leadership Class at Northwestern

    May 23, 2012 -- Thirteen outstanding students have been selected to the 2012-13 President’s Leadership Class (PLC) at Northwestern Oklahoma State University. The PLC is comprised of the most accomplished, promising and motivated incoming freshmen to Northwestern. It is designed to enhance the participant’s ability to effectively lead and foster a greater awareness of leadership roles in today’s society.

  • Summer Chautauqua on Hollywood's Impact offers credit hours at Northwestern

    May 22, 2012 -- An intensive fun-filled, week-long course titled “Behind the Screen-Hollywood’s Impact on American Culture” is being offered by Northwestern Oklahoma State University June 12-16 during Enid’s Summer Chautauqua series. Students enrolling may earn three hours of credit in humanities or general electives. Those not wishing to earn college credit may attend the workshops and evening Chautauqua performances for free.
