Ranger Basketball Team
Achieves High Marks
Northwestern Oklahoma State
University's men's basketball team finished the 2003 fall semester with an
overall team GPA of 3.07.
"Our players' class attendance
was near perfect and their attitude toward academics is outstanding," head
coach Bob Battisti said. "Those traits led to an overall team grade point
average that is as high as I can recall in my 18 years of coaching here at
Northwestern."
Leading the way in the
classroom for the Rangers was Josh Holland with a perfect 4.0 GPA.
Other players recording over
3.0 average were: Taylor Wiebener, Austin Keeney, David Johnson, Anthony
Thomas, Fabian Thomas, Mathew Medill and Dominique Parker.
"All our guys understand
academics more than basketball will determine their success," Battisti said.
"I am proud to coach this group." |
