NORTHWESTERN FOOTBALL MOVES TO No. 9 IN THE NAIA
After
cracking the NAIA’s top ten last week, the
Northwestern Oklahoma State football team moved up
another spot this week as the Rangers now hold down
a No. 9 ranking. The Rangers are nine points behind
eighth ranked Lindenwood (Mo.) with 270 points.

RANGER CROSS COUNTRY RESULTS
FROM COWBOY JAMBOREE
STILLWATER,
Okla. – Seven of Northwestern’s cross country
runners participated this past Saturday in the
Cowboy Jamboree in Stillwater, Okla. The women’s
team placed 25th, while two men’s runners
ran unattached.
Kacee McCulley led the pack for the women’s team
with a time of 21:30 that put her in 93rd
place out of 218 runners.
RANGERS WHIP NO. 25 WARRIORS 38-14
ALVA,
Okla. – The 10th ranked Northwestern
Oklahoma State Ranger football team had no trouble
with No. 25 Sterling (Kan.) as the Rangers whipped
the Warriors 38-14 at Ranger Field on Saturday.
Northwestern held the Warriors to just 35 total
yards after three quarters of play and led 38-0
before Sterling would score in the fourth quarter. (Read

RANGERS CRACK NAIA TOP TEN
The
Ranger Football team cracked the NAIA top ten this
week as they moved up two spots, from 12th
to No. 10 in the NAIA Coaching Poll. This has been
the first time since the 2005 preseason rating that
the Rangers have broken into the top ten.
The Rangers moved up in another poll, moving into
No. 8 in the Victory Sports Network poll.
Northwestern (2-1) will host Sterling (Kan.) College
(2-1) at Ranger Field on Saturday, Oct. 4 in a 2
p.m. game.
CROSS COUNTRY OPENS SEASON AT OKLAHOMA
BAPTIST INVITATIONAL
SHAWNEE, Okla.
– The Northwestern Oklahoma State cross country team
opened up the 2008 season at the Oklahoma Baptist Bison
Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 27. Northwestern’s women’s
team finished sixth with eight runners competing, while
the men had two entrants.
Individually for the women, Kacee McCulley led the way
with a 27th place finish with a time of 21:33.
