BETHANY, Okla. – The Northwestern men’s golf team placed ninth out of 15 teams on Monday, Sept. 7 at the Southwestern Christian Invitational played at Lake Hefner Golf Club in Bethany, Okla. The second round was suspended due to weather. The Rangers finished with a total team score of 302.
Chad Piper led Northwestern with a 72 and tied for 20th. Jay Lee carded a 74 which put him in a tie for 33rd, while Bryant Briggs and Kyle Ward each carded a 78 and finished tied for 51st. Also shooting a 78 was Benjamyn Eastes, who entered the tournament as an individual, while Tyler Mays finished with an 83, tying for 68th.
The Ranger golf team will be in action next week at the Central Christian College Fall Invitational at Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kan. on Sept. 13-14.
