SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The Ranger men’s golf team finished in sixth place in the three-day Evangel Fall Invitational played at Rivercut Golf Course in Springfield, Mo. Northwestern shot a 959 for the tournament, while Lindenwood (Mo.) won the event with a 901.
Kyle Ward paced the Rangers with a 80-76-73—229, putting him in a tie for 11th place. Bryant Briggs shot an 81-79-82—242, tying him for 28th. Chad Piper and Benjamyn Eastes were a shot from one another, with Piper taking 32nd with an 86-83-76—245 and Eastes carding an 81-82-83—246 to tie for 33rd. C.J. Wilson and Jay Lee both fired a 259 to put them in a tie for 39th.
The Ranger golf team will be back in action on Oct. 4-5 at the Texoma Championship hosted by Southeastern Oklahoma State University at the Chickasaw Pointe Golf Resort in Kingston.
