The Ranger soccer team struggled with in-state rival Southwestern Oklahoma State University in home soccer action on Sunday afternoon, as the Rangers dropped their fourth game of the season. Northwestern fell to the Bulldogs 4-0.
Southwestern scored two goals in each period and got off nearly four times as many shots than Northwestern. The Rangers had eight shots on the day, with seven coming in the second half. Southwestern shot 31 times and landed 14 on goal.
Ranger goalie Kelsey Archer was credited with 10 saves for the afternoon.
Northwestern will remain off for a week. The Rangers next game will be when they host Eastern New Mexico at Ranger Soccer Field at 1 p.m. on Sunday, September 20.
