GODDARD, Kan. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women’s cross country team finished in 11th place at the Friends Invitational at Lake Afton in Goddard, Kan. on Saturday.
Taylor Clark paced Northwestern for a 31st place finish with a time of 21:37 in the five kilometer race. Krystle Noda recorded a 22:47 for a 45th place finish. Shannon Rose was 58th with a 23:25, while Mercedes Key ran a 25:07 for 73rd. Shelby Ashcraft had a 25:24 for 77th and Desirae Guffy ran a 29:31 for 93rd.
As a team, Northwestern finished 11th in the 13 team event.
Three men ran for the Rangers in the eight kilometer race. Kevin Strawn took 33rd out of 105 runners with a time of 29:53. Jordan Sanders ran in 31:49 for 65th, while William Navarro finished in 80th place with a 33:53.
The Rangers next cross country meet will be at the Oklahoma State University Jamboree on Saturday, September 25 in Stillwater.
