GODDARD, Kan. – The Northwestern Oklahoma State University women’s cross country team finished in 11^th place at the Friends Invitational at Lake Afton in Goddard, Kan. on Saturday. 

Taylor Clark paced Northwestern for a 31^st place finish with a time of 21:37 in the five kilometer race. Krystle Noda recorded a 22:47 for a 45^th place finish. Shannon Rose was 58^th with a 23:25, while Mercedes Key ran a 25:07 for 73^rd. Shelby Ashcraft had a 25:24 for 77^th and Desirae Guffy ran a 29:31 for 93^rd. 

As a team, Northwestern finished 11^th in the 13 team event.

Three men ran for the Rangers in the eight kilometer race. Kevin Strawn took 33^rd out of 105 runners with a time of 29:53. Jordan Sanders ran in 31:49 for 65^th, while William Navarro finished in 80^th place with a 33:53.

The Rangers next cross country meet will be at the Oklahoma State University Jamboree on Saturday, September 25 in Stillwater.
