OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Ranger women’s golf team shot a 364 to finish in fifth place at the Southwestern Christian University Invitational on Monday. The tournament at Lake Hefner Golf Club was cut a day short due to rain Tuesday’s rain.
Amanda Dixon led Northwestern at the par-73, 5,931 yard Lake Hefner South Course with an 82, putting her in a tie for ninth. Hope Conneywerdy and Jacey Ford were a stroke different, as Conneywerdy carded a 91 for a tie for 27th and Ford finished in 29th with a 92. Madison Howard shot a 99 and Aubrey McDowell rounded the scoring for NWOSU with a 106.
The next tournament for the Ranger women is set for Sept. 13-14 at the Central Christian College Fall Invitational Turkey Creek Golf Course in McPherson, Kan.
