Northwestern Oklahoma State University edged out Langston University by one vote to top the 2010 Central States Football League Preseason Poll, a poll that is composed of the league’s coaches, sports information directors and selected members of the media.
Northwestern received six of nine first place votes and a total of 35 votes. Langston was a vote behind, totaling 34 points and receiving three first place votes. Southern Nazarene came in third place with 27 votes, while Southwestern Assemblies of God was fourth with 19 votes. Bacone College fell in fifth place with 17 votes, while Texas College rounded out the teams in sixth place with nine total votes.
