Stephen F. Austin University (Tex.) senior transfer, Orren Tims, has signed with Northwestern Oklahoma State University to play basketball for the Rangers during the 2010-11 season.
Last season, Tims averaged 5.9 points, 3.1 rebounds and 16 minutes per game for the Lumberjacks.
The 6-5 forward from Ruston, La., played his sophomore season at McLennan Community College and averaged 11.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game. While at McLennan, he was named second-team all-NJCAC and earned all-region honors.
As a freshman, Tims played 28 games at Louisiana Tech, averaging 5.3 point and 3.0 rebounds.
“We expect Orren to bring us immediate impact,” stated Brown. “He is a good athlete that can score from the perimeter and also get to the basket. He fits in well and knows how to play with other good players. We feel like he will make other players better because of his ability to score one-on-one along with his unselfish nature.”
