Three Lady Ranger softball players were named to the Sooner Athletic All-Conference softball teams announced on Monday. Northwestern’s Kellie Mason and Katie Thomas were selected as honorable mention, while McKenna Wilson was on the Gold Glove team.
Mason, a freshman pitcher from Bloomfield, N.M., held a 9-16 record with a 3.52 earned run average. She struck out 99 batters in 141.1 innings pitched. Mason appeared in 29 games and started in 24.
Thomas, a senior third baseman from San Diego, Calif., led the Rangers in batting average at .324. She played in all 48 games and led the team in doubles (19), at bats (145), run batted in (40) and slugging percentage (.538).
Wilson, a native of Elk City, fielded .936 while playing second base. The senior infielder batted .288 and led the team in on base percentage at .391.
