Northwestern Oklahoma State University pitcher Calvin Wright has been named the Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week for April 26-May 2. The honor is the team’s third for the season and first for Wright.

Wright, a freshman from Allen, Texas, fanned six batters and held St. Gregory's to a run and three hits in an 8-1 Northwestern victory in game two of Saturday’s doubleheader at Shawnee. He had a 1.50 earned run average for the week and has a 4-1 record on the mound.
