South Garland High School senior, Devondrick Walker, has signed a letter of intent to play basketball for Northwestern Oklahoma State University in the upcoming 2010-11 season.
Walker, a 6-3 wing from Garland, Texas, averaged 10 points, four rebounds and four assists per game, while being named second-team all-district.
Walker played for former four-year Ranger basketball player and current assistant coach at South Garland High School, Dominique Parker.
“Devondrick has a lot of ability,” stated head coach Andrew Brown. “He has a good feel for the game and knows how to play. He has the skills to play all perimeter positions and brings us strong versatility. The key with him is dedicating himself to polishing his game and working hard at the little things.”
